Essay Theme

In this year's One Book selection, Money Hungry by Sharon Flake, the prominent theme is Raspberry's memories of being homeless. This history has created an earnestness to make money that affects all aspects of her life. Discuss whether Raspberry's money-making schemes are the solution to her bad memories or whether there is another way she could overcome her fear of becoming homeless again.

Poetry Theme
