Loan Rules by Circ Point
The system will use the Checkout Location to determine circulation rules (loan period, renewals and fines). This means that all items, regardless of the owning library will use Loan Rules of the library in which the patron is standing.
Key Points
- The number of renewals is determined by the circulating library, even if items are renewed through Millennium, through the OPAC or through TRS.
- Fines are determined by the Loan Rule, which will now be assigned by the checkout library.
- The item will be due on the schedule (days closed calendar) of the checkout location.
