HOLIDAY CLOSING
Whitehall Public Library will be closed Sunday and Monday, May 25 & May 26.
NEW COMPUTERS
Customers who have used Microsoft Office 2003 will notice that Office 2007 has a different user interface. Microsoft has provided interactive guides for the Office 2007 suite to help you get accustomed to this new software.
The Whitehall Public Library computers no longer have floppy disk drives. Purchase of a USB flash drive (available in the library at the front desk for $11.00 or from most major retailers) can be used to store files. USB flash drives have more capacity and are faster, more durable, and more reliable than floppy disks.

LOSE AND GET FIT!
May 28 to September 3
How about joining our BIGGEST LOSER contest at Whitehall Library? We are looking for individuals to join TEAM WHITEHALL to compete against South Park Library. There will be weekly meetings, activities, and giveaways.
Each library will divide their team into two categories:
- 10,000 Step Team - this team will walk using pedometers and track the number of steps they take. These will be recorded on a chart. Each person will start at 3000 steps a day. Each person will get 1 point for every 1000 after 3000.
- Weighing In Team - this team will weigh in. Measurements will be completely confidential. You will be given a team designation then a number. Your record card will only have your team designation and number on it. No one will know who the card belongs to.
Call the library for details or email Susan at mahoneys@einetwork.net. Registration and a small entry fee of $5.00 will be required for this program.
