This is a wonderful, high quality book titled
The Changing Hills: A History of Penn Hills, Pennsylvania. It
came out in 1994-95 and reflects the work of many individuals.
In 1984, the Penn Hills Council enacted an ordinance establishing
the Penn Hills Historical Committee whose purpose was to research
and preserve local history. Committee members worked on this and
found financial support for printing this fascinating book. The
book starts with the Native Americans who lived here and continues
through Pioneer Life, Early Industries, Neighborhoods, Architecture,
Churches, Founding Families and Penn Hills Institutions. Wherever possible,
photographs have been included. This is a 115 page treasure trove of
Penn Hills history, and it can be yours for $15, a real bargain.
This is a companion piece to Volume One (above) titled The Changing Hills:
A History of Penn Hills, Pennsylvania: Volume Two. The title says it all.

were reading Volume One. If you have Volume 1, you will really enjoy Volume 2

price is $15.
