Readers Corner

Thanks for visiting our Readers Corner. This page is for fiction readers. We have all kinds of wonderful tools that help you find the book you want to read. We want you to take out books that you'll love reading. When the book matches your interests, it's a magic feeling for fiction readers!

The strongest tool we have working for fiction readers is a search tool called NoveList. Find your favorite author's books in this way. Or, you can find a favorite title or a series name. If you can describe the plot, NoveList can help you find the author and title. NoveList is easy to use, and simple searches can be done immediately. There are tutorials onsite, and you might take a moment to check out "The Beginning Tutorial" with scenarios and step-by-step instructions. NoveList is ready to help you with simple searches and more advanced ones...such as books or authors like the ones you enjoy reading.

To find out if your local library has your list of books, you'll want to visit The Catalog. The catalog is online for the William E. Anderson Library of Penn Hills as well as all the libraries in the county. Lookups are by title, author or subject. You can quickly find out if the book is available right now at the William E. Anderson Library of Penn Hills or at another library in the network. If it is not at your library, it can be ordered for you automatically and sent to our library for pickup. It's a painless procedure that gives readers a chance to really take advantage of the great collection throughout the EINetwork. Click on Help! at the top of the screen if you need it.

New fiction books are going on the shelves all the time at the William E. Anderson Library of Penn Hills. We take a small selection of those added each month and list them on our web site in the New Books Section. If you want to read one of the latest books, come in and browse on our A-Frame of New Fiction by the Circulation Desk.

Reader's Circle is a book club that has a networking site serving the US, Canada and Australia with listings for local groups, author events, and phone chats. For more information, go to Reader's Circle.

Thank you for visiting the William E. Anderson Library of Penn Hills Readers Corner. We hope our fiction readers have found some helpful tips here. There are so many tools available, and we want our patrons to be aware of them. If you yourself have a question or comment, please contact us at phlibrary@einetwork.net. Thanks!
