Hours of Operation

Monday - Thursday 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Friday and Saturday 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Sunday 1:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m.

(No Sunday hours in July or August)

Note: Staff meetings are held the first Friday of each Month from 10 a.m.- 12 noon.
The Library will open at 12 noon.

Library Directions

The Library is located about 10 miles Northeast of Pittsburgh in the Borough of Oakmont, a town of 7000 residents situated on the Allegheny River. The building has been designated as being of architectural importance by Pittsburgh History and Landmarks. It was designed by Alden and Harlow and built in 1901.

The Library is located at the corner of Pennsylvania Avenue and Allegheny River Blvd. Public transportation is available via PAT bus route 77A. Driving directions are:

From the PA Turnpike

	Use Exit 5.
	Proceed South on Freeport Road through 4 stoplights.
	Turn left onto Hulton Bridge at the 5th light.
	Crossing the river brings you into the town of Oakmont.
	Cross the railroad tracks and immediately turn right onto Allegheny River Blvd.
	The Library is on the left side at the 1st stop sign.

From the Parkway

	Use the Churchill Exit, Route 130.
	Follow Route 130 through Penn Hills to Allegheny River Blvd.
	Turn right and follow the Blvd. through Verona into Oakmont.
	The library is across Pennsylvania Avenue from the Giant Eagle at the 3rd stop sign.

From Oakland

	Follow Fifth Avenue to Washington Blvd.
	Turn right at the intersection of Washington and Allegheny River Blvds.
	Follow Allegheny River Blvd. through Verona and into Oakmont as in #2 above.
