Computer Classes

The computer center offers free hands-on computer training for adults who have little or no computer experience.

A variety of introductory small group classes are taught each month. Most of these classes includes hands-on computer time and require at least basic computer and mouse-handling skills. If you're not comfortable with the mouse, start with Introduction to Computers, which includes mouse use.

For those whose schedules don't accommodate our group classes, we offer a series of four one-hour lessons that introduce you to the computer and some of its most common uses: word processing, spreadsheets and databases. Times for these classes are flexible to meet individual needs. These classes are taught using Microsoft Office.

To register for our classes please call the library at (412)366-8100 x131 or visit the computer center help desk. Classes fill up quickly, so plan ahead!
