  • Introduction to Computers
    Learn to use the mouse and keyboard, how to turn the computer on and off correctly, and other basic skills. For beginners; no experience necessary. A follow-up mouse practice class is available.
  • Introduction to Microsoft Word
    Learn to use the computer for writing letters and other documents. Includes correcting mistakes, spell checking, formatting documents, saving your work and more. For beginners; must have mouse skills. A follow up word practice class is available.
  • Introduction to Spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel)
    Learn to create and use spreadsheets to keep track of your budget easily. Experience with word processing required.
  • Introduction to Microsoft Powerpoint
    Learn to create professional-looking multimedia presentations quickly and easily with Microsoft PowerPoint. For intermediate users; previous computer experience required.
  • Computer Protection and Maintenance
    This class will cover topics such as: hard drive maintenance, how to clean your computer, monitor, mouse and keyboard, anti-virus software and spyware and adware removal.
  • Introduction to the Internet
    Learn to navigate the internet and explore some of its possibilities first-hand. For beginners; requires use of the mouse.
  • Introductory New E-mail, Lesson 1
    Get started with email by setting up your own free Yahoo! email account! For folks who do not have an email account.
  • E-mail, Lesson 2
    Learn how to use your new Yahoo! email account!
  • Introduction to Web Blogging
    Learn what a blog is, how it is different from other websites and how to find blogs that interest you.
  • Selling on EBay
    Learn how to create an account, write effective descriptions of items, upload pictures and more.
  • Buying on EBay
    Learn how to search and find exactly what your looking for, bidding strategies and online payment services such as paypal.
  • Job Hunting on the Internet
    Searching for jobs online, posting online resumés, applying online and more.
  • Learn to use the Library Catalog
    Learn how to find the items you really want, place holds and renew online, and more in this class.
  • Ellis Island Records
    Learn how to search for passengers on ships that arrived at the port of New York from 1892-1924.
  • Heritage Quest
    HeritageQuest combines searchable images of U.S. Census records with digitized books containing family and local histories. This demonstration will show you how it works and what you can do with it.
