Funding
Northland Library's 2008 budget is $ $2,456,191. Local municipal
tax support accounts for 55% of the funding. In addition, Northland
is a state-aided library and receives funding from the
Allegheny
Regional Asset District tax. The library has a supporting
Foundation which
solicits private contributions. Northland is a member of the
Allegheny
County Library Association and participates in the
Access
Pennsylvania program, which provides some reimbursement funds
for circulation to patrons of other Access PA participants. The
library is also a member of the
Electronic
Information Network(EIN).

For the supporting municipalities, funding is based on a three-part
formula which considers population, circulation figures, and assessed
values. For 2008, contributions per resident are:
- Bradford Woods Borough: $22.20
- Franklin Park Borough: $21.12
- Marshall Township: $16.25
- Town of McCandless: $19.64
- Ross Township: $13.00
