RESOURCES FOR PARENTS OF
CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS

The Mt. Lebanon Public Library maintains a collection of books, pamphlets, videos, and other materials, and a Web resource directory for parents of children and young adults with special needs such as attention deficit disorder, autism, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, learning disabilities, visual impairments, giftedness, and others.

This clearinghouse, a collaboration of the Mt. Lebanon Public Library, Mt. Lebanon School District, Mt. Lebanon PTA Council, and members of the community enables parents, teachers, and other interested adults to locate information on educational, social, and other aspects of caring for youth with special needs.

The collection is housed in the Adult Department of the Mt. Lebanon Public Library.  The library staff is happy to provide guidance in locating and using information and welcomes suggestions at any time.

This Web Resource Directory was compiled by Holly Shields, Andrea Ketchum,
Audrey Zelanko, Mark McNutt, and John Riegart.
