Homebound Delivery

What is Homebound Delivery?

Homebound is an outreach program of the Mt. Lebanon Public Library.  Its purpose is to recruit, coordinate, and entrust volunteers to deliver library materials to Mt. Lebanon residents unable to visit the library.

Who is eligible?

Mt. Lebanon residents, regardless of age, in private homes, retirement homes, hospitals, and nursing homes who are unable to visit the library because of a temporary or permanent physical limitation.

How does the program operate?

The library's circulating materials, including books, large print books, books-on-tape, magazines, music CDs, and videos, are brought to and from your place of residence by a library volunteer.  Deliveries are made as soon as possible upon request.

How do I apply?

It's easy: either print and complete Homebound Reader Profile and send it to the library, or call the library at (412) 531-1912.
