      Post-Gazette Cartoonist
    Rob Rogers, author of
    "No Cartoon Left Behind! :
    the best of Rob Rogers"

    Thursday, January 21 at 7 p.m.

    Award-winning editorial cartoonist Rob Rogers will be at the library to talk about his new compilation of editorial cartoons entitled "No Cartoon Left Behind: The Best of Rob Rogers."  Rogers' cartoons have been in newspapers around the country, and he has won several awards, including a Pulitzer prize finalist nomination.
    Books will be available for sale and signing.

    Cancelled!  Let it Snow Day

    Saturday, January 23 at 1 p.m.

    Do you love to play in the snow but don't like the cold? Then come inside the library and we'll make snow with paper,
    cotton balls and even marshmallows! 
    We'll also play games and end the day with a special treat.

    Evening Book Discussion Group

    Monday, January 25 at 7 p.m.

    Our lunchtime book discussion group reads "The School of Essential Ingredients" by Erica Bauermeister and "The Friday Night Knitting Club" by Kate Jacobs.  If you would like a copy of the books to check out, or would like more information, please contact the reference department by sending an email to lawestref@einetwork.net or call the library reference department at 412-828-9520 ext. 15.

    Learn word processing, find out how to organize your financial and personal information, create slide shows of photos or presentations
    and more.  For all of our computer classes click

     For those researching family history,
    the library teaches a class on how to use an online database called Ancestry Library, from the creators of Ancestry.com.
    Pre-registration is required for all classes.

    Library Closures Due to Inclement Weather

    The library generally, but not in all cases, follows the Fox Chapel School District policy for closing on days when there is inclement weather and hazardous roads.
