Friends of the Green Tree Public Library
There are roughly 200 dues-paying members of the Friends of the Green Tree Public Library. Their main "perk" is early entry to the annual Used Book Sale (a browser's and book-lover's paradise) which is the Friends' main activity. Besides that weekend, the half-dozen active Friends support the library all year long in many activities.
New members are always welcome, whether you just want to get into the book sale early, or if you want to contribute your time and talents to the betterment of the library.
Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month at 10:30 a.m. (There are no meetings during the months of June, July and August.) Call the library at (412) 921-9292 for more information.
